Living Water Anglican Church engaged us to undertake a new Foyer and Community Store to attach to their existing Church.  The church has doubled in size over the past few years and now needs additional overflow space for gathering before and after church

The Existing Church is very cold and has the amenities located on the north side of the building prevents natural warmth entering the building.

The new additions are to take advantage of the north sun to provide natural light and warmth in winter.  The space is to feel open and light and less formal with a connection to outside, using natural materials to give a sense of the surroundings.  The foyer opens out to outdoor seating for eating together and has grassed areas for the after church soccer games.

The Community Store will also be filled with natural light and has a very functional role to play with retail space and back of house sorting, washing and tea prep facilities.  The two buildings are spaced apart to form a north facing courtyard in between which is a vital space for gathering and creating a sense of community.
