Dismantling the Old Post Office Verandah

The past couple of weeks have seen the careful dismantling of the three story verandah on the south side of the Old Albany Post Office (now UWA Albany Campus) by Smiths Construction.  As you can see the timber has some serious rotting and structural failure.  There has also been the discovery of some original timber details and original timber floor boards.
